| The most traditional and the oldest living beauty pageant in the United States and perhaps in the world, Miss America will celebrate 90 years tonight. Preliminary events took place during the week, and the winners were: Miss Hawaii (miss fitness)and Miss North Carolina (miss talent) Are Tuesday Preliminary Winners:  Miss Rhode Island and Miss Alabama are Wenesday Preliminary Winners:  Miss Oklahoma and Miss Nebraska are Thursday Preliminary Winners:  andidates representing all American states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, will compete for the coveted crown and scholarship prizes tonight. The show will be aired by ABC, 9 PM E. Good luck to all, and happy 90th anniversary, Miss America! | |
